Scotty Bank corner - its all change

Scotty Bank corner - its all change

Things have changed a lot over the last few years on this corner with Scotty Bank and Bramston Street. Gone has the old Salford Mill which is the dominating building in the photograph. This for many years was the home of Walter Robinson Electricals. Some readers may remember he has a shop on Park Street and before that his shop was at the corner of Hangram Street with Bradford Road..

The building is still standing but it looks the staff have a hard job on with this snow.

Here is Robinson's electrical shop in Park Street during the 1980s. The snow is a problem here as well but does anyone know who it is shovelling the snow off the pavement.

Once ther mill was swept away then it was time to start building the new 65 bed apartment block for the over 55s.
