Sunday Bandstand 22 November 2015
This is a photograph of Angus Holden who was a very successful brass band conductor at contests. Between 1875 and 1921 he had 375 winning performances - 1st 75 - 2nd 66 - 3rd 68.

On Saturday 19th October, at the HQ of the Horbury Victoria Band, we are unveiling a blue plaque to Angus Holden.
I am trying to put together a profle of his professional career, but information is hard to find.
I know he was a winner of the Crystal Palace Trophy, I think in 1909, but I am not sure which band this was with.
If you can help I would be most grateful.
