Sunday Bandstand 5 November 2017

Born June 26, 1976 in Vetroz, Switzerland Bertrand Moren had his first piano lessons at the age of six. 1998, he graduated from piano teaching of the Swiss Society for Music Pedagogy. While studying piano, he studied music education, of harmony, analysis, counterpoint and music history. In 1999, he obtained a Certificate of Graduate Studies at the Geneva Conservatory Trombone. He has won numerous awards as a trombone soloist, and especially winning the Swiss Championship of Soloists of instruments Brass, solo contest and the Swiss Entertainment Contest Contest Swiss Youth Music.
With the European Overture he won in 1998, 1st prize of the jury and the audience award at the European Competition of Composition of the European Association of Brass Band,
He is in great demand as a composer and we feature one of his light hearted pieces on this show.
